Allow me to explain where I am coming from: My own personal political affiliation is "Independent". I sympathize with the "Old Republican Right" exemplified by the late Ohio Senator, Robert Taft (Taft was known as "Mr. Republican" Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Taft ) or the great libertarian journalist and author, Garet Garret (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garet_Garrett). So if you think I'm a Democrat with a political ax to grind you're way off base. As far as I'm concerned (and many other citizens as well) the differences between Republicans and Democrats have been totally blurred and whatever differences that may appear to exist are nothing more than a "dog and pony show" designed to trick the American people into believing that the Republicans and Democrats are deadly enemies. Such is not the case.  Washington, D.C. is a "company town" and most of the politicians go along to get along. Truth be told, we don't have a two-party system in the US. We have a one-party system. The "Demopublican Party". Both are dedicated to stealing tax payer money and giving it to their friends. That's the whole object of modern politics: Who can steal the most without pissing-off the voters. As long as the federal government has the option of borrowing most of the money it spends, instead of taxing us, the Demopublicans don't seem concerned about just where all the largesse will come from. One day, however, economic reality will finally catch-up with these morons and there will be hell to pay for all of us.

The Old Republican Right was characterized by a firm belief in limited government, low taxes, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. I share those core beliefs. George Bush and most modern Republicans do not. Bush claims to be a "conservative" Republican but he isn't. He has spent more of our money than all the other presidents combined going back to George Washington! He is driving the nation into bankruptcy. He has trampled our civil rights and involved us in foreign wars of adventurism and empire-building in the hope of securing sources of oil. He has sent our brothers and sisters, sons and daughters to fight and die in the Middle East for oil -- not democracy, not peace, not WMDs, and not to unseat a brutal dictator. In this process he has regimented the US population and jettisoned our most cherished constitutional rights and protections all in the name of protecting us from acts of terrorism that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld inflicted upon the American people! This is treason! Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and anyone else in his administration who plotted this mass murder--with God's help -- will be brought to justice and punished for their dastardly crimes!

And all of this has been based upon a lie. The greatest lie of the 21st century: that 19 bumbling Arab hijackers commandeered 4 US airliners with box-cutters--most of whom could barely fly a Cessna-- piloted them hundreds of miles and crashed them into the WTC and the Pentagon with no opposition from the US Air Force!  And that those planes caused the WTC Towers to collapse. No such thing could have occurred. It is contrary to the laws of physics and engineering. Those towers were designed to withstand multiple strikes by large commercial jet airliners and were marvelous examples of modern engineering.
